Never has there been a better San Diego match up than Sprung Monkey and Pacific Records. Sprung Monkey who have continued to define the soundtrack for the So-Cal / action sport lifestyle are getting ready for a very busy 2013 by signing with their new San Diego based record label Pacific Records and new management company Maphia Management.
Throughout the years, Sprung Monkey’s songs have made headway in extreme sports, including the Vans Warped Tour, ESPN’s X-Games, as well as action sport films for the skate, snowboarding and surf industries. Their music was also included in the entire series of Music for Our Mother Ocean, a CD compilation produced to benefit the Surfrider Foundation.
Sprung Monkey just signed with Pacific Records, San Diego’s premier independent record label, known for supporting a wide range of musicians with a unique sound who are in a genre entirely of their own.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to welcome Sprung Monkey to the Pacific Records family and we are all extremely enthusiastic about their new record and our future with Sprung Monkey” said Brian Witkin, CEO of Pacific Records, Inc.
Sprung Monkey will be finishing the recording of their next full length album over the next two months and a release date will likely be announced within that timeframe.
Sprung Monkey band members include Steve Summers (vocals), Mike Summers (guitar), William Riley (guitar), Ernie Longoria (drums), and Tony DeLocht (bass). To date, Sprung Monkey have released four albums, Situation Life, Swirl, Mr. Funny Face, and Get A Taste.
