“’Big Medicine’ is a compilation of sounds from the soul that were created to give people nothing but a good feeling. This album is intended to prevent, cure, and treat anyone suffering form bad vibes” says Hiller, a Utah native who studied jazz at its musical source: New Orleans, Louisiana. Moving to sunny San Diego in 2006, he’s since become a local live-music staple and has opened up for such greats as the Eagles, the Steve Miller Band, Chris Issak and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. “Big Medicine” will be Hiller’s first release with San Diego-based label Pacific Records since joining the roster in 2016. Pacific Records president Pat Pickslay, who co-produced “Big Medicine” alongside Hiller, says of the album, “’Big Medicine’” is a roller coaster ride of funk rhythms, bluesy riffs and Southern-influenced rock.
