Somewhere in-between Beach Bunny’s deadpan, charismatic indie-punk – and the flutteringly-emotive lo-fi-rock of Surf Curse – lie the music of three central California dropouts known as The Moonjacks. The DIY youths have shared stages with the likes of Mexican Slum Rats and The High Curbs; after the release of their self-titled LP in early 2021, the trio caught the attention of Brian Witkin, who signed them to San Diego’s Pacific Records.
