Clairemont Mesa

Clairemont Mesa

For as long as I can remember
You always seemed to be around
Until some misunderstanding
Made you move uptown
And we both grew up in Clairemont
It seemed to be a happier day
On top of Mt. Putman was the only way

But baby if you don’t want it to end
Clairemont Mesa just might be the way again

Spend some time spend a few memories
Standing on your brand new lane
But I think you can see now
It doesn’t feel the same
And I need to get back to the mesa
Sitting out on your porch
I said come on baby we’ll relight the torch
