Born in the Philippine countryside and raised on the East Coast playing classical music, singer-songwriter  Alfa approaches her pop songs from a distinct source, blending dynamic melodies with an array of instruments – guitar, ukulele, violin, piano, and the  occasional  kazoo.   Music  Connection  has  called  her “an artist who has a spectrum of colors in her palette, a songwriter with a knack for tickling a mainstream  ear.”  Alfa, who signed with   Pacific   Records   in  2015,   performs   throughout   U.S. colleges and in her native Philippines, and has opened for Sam Smith, Us the Duo, the Rembrandts, and Howie Day.

Alfa will release her 10-song album Spark & Fury on June 23,

marking   her  producing  debut  and  capping  off  a  two-year collaborative  effort with musicians across the country, many of whom  Alfa  befriended  during  her  travels  since  quitting  her journalism  job in 2011. Spark  & Fury is a testament  to Alfa’s approach to melodic lyricism and multi-instrumental versatility. “The record  is about  accepting  myself  as  I  am: all my flaws, adjusting to each ‘phase’ in life, my vulnerability in love and my career; and betting that others can relate,” she says.

Alfa’s  2013 album World Go Blue entered  the College Music Journal (CMJ) Top 200 charts,  with songs heard on E!, MTV, and films like Old Fashioned  (Skoche  Films) and Baby Steps (produced by the producer of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.) In 2016, Alfa headlined the Grand Plaza Stage at NAMM and landed a spot on Spotify Philippines’ Top 50 Viral Songs with her single “Bare Feet.”  Her song “Blue” has over 160K streams on Spotify.
