SAN DIEGO, CA — (October 3, 2025) — Pacific Records, Inc. proudly announces that several of its artists appear on the Official Ballot for the upcoming GRAMMY® Awards. This year’s entries span Regional Roots, Americana, and Roots categories, reflecting the label’s commitment to developing genre-blending talent and supporting music that bridges cultures. Pacific Records artists appearing on the GRAMMY® ballot include:
KupuKupu for Best Regional Roots Music Album with their debut KupuKupu, a boundary-pushing release blending Hawaiian roots with world and ambient textures.
Matt Krahula for Best Americana Album with This Island Life, a record shaped by his years in Hawaiʻi and highlighted by the single These Islands featuring Henry Kapono, which also appears on the ballot for Best American Roots Song and Best American Roots Performance.
Shane Hall & Tavana for Best American Roots Song and Best American Roots Performance with Storm Bird, a soulful collaboration between Hall’s blues-infused Americana and Tavana’s island-grounded vocals.
Slack Key ʻOhana & Rand Anderson for Best American Roots Song and Best American Roots Performance with Slack Key Blues, a collaboration that blends Hawaiian slack key tradition with blues influences, previewing their forthcoming album Mai Tais in Paradise.
Kristina Bennett (Shakti) with Eric Kupper’s remix of TARA (Extended Vocal) on the ballot for Best Remixed Recording, bridging her new age and trance-inspired artistry with club-ready production.
Pacific Records Showcases in Hawaiʻi and California
In addition to these ballot appearances, Pacific Records presented two major showcases this summer, expanding the label’s live presence across the Pacific. The first showcase was held in June in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, followed by a second “Pacific Records Fest” in July in Pacific Beach, California.
The showcases featured unforgettable performances by Slack Key ʻOhana, Kristina Bennett, Shane Hall, and Rand Anderson, giving audiences on both shores a powerful snapshot of the label’s diverse roster and cross-cultural sound.
