Pacific Records is excited to share the release of The Chartreuse’s new double single, “Back of My Heart” b/w “Looking at Stars,” available everywhere now.
Blending elements of folk, art rock, and subtle electronica, the two new songs showcase the band’s signature minimalist approach while highlighting rich vocal harmonies, evocative songwriting, and atmospheric arrangements.
The Chartreuse features an all-star lineup of Southern California musicians: Donna Daly (Cat 22) on bass and vocals, Tim Ellison (The Nephews) on guitar and vocals, and Matt Mielczarek (Hector Penalosa Gang) on keyboards. Together, the trio crafts a sound that is both intimate and expansive, with haunting melodies and harmonies that give these recordings a timeless quality.
Fans will also have the chance to experience the new music live when The Chartreuse celebrates the release with a special show on September 12 at Black Cat Bar in San Diego, joined by special guests Thee Allyrgic Reaction.
