Spilt Rail Fence is a San Diego-based roots rock band led by vocalist and primary songwriter Ron Rice. True believers in the power of “three chords and the truth,” they deliver straight-up rock and roll with a twang and a punk edge that’ll take you on a ride. Frontman Ron Rice has been a fixture in the San Diego music scene for over 20 years. Before calling Southern California home, he cut his teeth in Tucson’s rock scene and made his way west after a stint in Nashville. Ron was a member of LA’s funk rock group Elridge, co-founded San Diego’s 66 Ohm, and later launched A Month of Sundays. On guitar, Carl Froehlich brings his own brand of grit, drawing from years in the Minneapolis music scene. After moving to San Diego, Carl made waves with bands like 66 Ohm, A Month of Sundays, The Unruly Bangs, and The Bum Deals. Keeping things tight on drums, Delwyn Edwards hails from England, with roots in Tulsa, OK, where he began with local legends Headwind. Since landing in San Diego, he’s played with bands like White Glove Test, Cakewalk, and Blindfold, solidifying his place in the city’s rhythm section.On bass, Sppike Mike Muellenberg brings his signature energy. Best known as Hairy Scary Spice in the Southern California band Spice Pistols, Sppike Mike has also collaborated with heavy hitters like Peter DiStefano (Porno for Pyros) and Rikk Agnew (Adolescents). In 2013, he joined True Stories with Bart Mendoza, and his work as a producer and A&R/Events Manager for Pacific Records continues to shape San Diego’s music scene. With a lineup like this, Spilt Rail Fence is delivering rock and roll that’s as real as it gets—raw, unapologetic, and ready to shake up Southern California.
