Valley View Casino Center’s General Manager Ernie Hahn and Pacific Records founder & CEO Brian Witkin have formed a strategic relationship to promote live entertainment in the Valley View Casino Center’s VIP Players Lounge before and after major touring concerts. The 330 capacity Lounge, open to Players Lounge members, Pit Pass members and sponsors prior and during the concerts and is open to the public afterward, will showcase performances by local San Diego recording artists in a comfortable, intimate atmosphere. Hahn hopes to ultimately expand operation of the room to a stand-alone venue, open to the public on nights when the Valley View Casino Center is dark.
The first Pacific Records Opening Act Showcase at the VIP Players’ Lounge was held on May 21, 2014, and featured Lito Romero and his band with a pre-show concert prior to the main performance by Romeo Santos. Lito Romero is a member of the world renowned Romero Guitar Quartet, and an internationally acclaimed soloist. Lito is currently under contract with Pacific Records as a solo artist.
