“What better way to bring attention to this song than the upcoming event: FLASH MOB: PRAY IN on Saturday Sept. 6th @ 6pm.” says Douglas Foxworthy. “Everyone is invited to come to Ocean Park in Ocean Beach, San Diego, California and pray in the ocean. Bring a date. Bring a friend. Bring the whole family. Come early and surf! Stop by James Gang in OB and get your “Praying in the Ocean” T Shirt. Go online and download the single. Pacific Records has arranged for the playing of the song “Praying in the Ocean” at this event.
This single is from the musical “California Psalms” written by Douglas Foxworthy and Gary Hyde. This song’s theme is all about forgiveness. “Christ came to heal the brokenhearted and desires to give beauty for ashes. We envision this single touching the hearts of many people modeling Christ’s example of forgiveness and bringing a message of hope and healing. We hope many will come to this ‘pray in’ event and it will be the beginning of restoration – especially in families as this Sunday is National Grand Parents Day. We pray all learn to love as Christ does and grow in our knowledge of His great love for us!” Jessica Shuey, Rock Church- Microsite/Ocean Beach.
This event is for everybody – all people, all walks of life. The Rock Church is providing a Pastoral Support Team member and will lead all who attend in prayer, as we are “Praying in the Ocean”. The prayer theme being one of reconciliation and restoration in family and personal relationships…”Just forgive…..no matter what they said…just forgive…no matter what they did…just forgive…”
Pacific Records will photograph and video the event and put together a multimedia video release of “Praying In the Ocean” on YouTube. All who wish to participate, all to you need to do is BE THERE.
“We look forward to “Praying in the Ocean” being part of the up coming Pacific Records CD EP release of “California Psalms”, according to Pat Picksley, President. Several of the songs are already recorded. The live concert band is now being put together by Gary Hyde, Vice President, A&R and will be available for live concerts in the very near future.
